Parishioners participated in Palm Sunday celebrations in Zihuatanejo this Sunday, marking the beginning of Holy Week with religious ceremonies at various locations throughout the city.
At the Church of Guadalupe in the city center, families brought palm branches for the blessing and Mass, in one of the most well-attended celebrations. Simultaneously, liturgical activities were also held at the San Angelus Parish in Kyoto Plaza, with the participation of many believers.
During the ceremonies, the significance of this date within the Catholic tradition was recalled, commemorating Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem.
Religious activities will continue throughout the week with Masses and reenactments at different churches in the municipality.
