The Guerrero Tourism Secretariat reported high hotel occupancy rates in the state’s main tourist destinations, highlighting that Acapulco and Taxco exceeded 85% during the current holiday period, reflecting a significant influx of visitors.
According to the state agency, these results are part of a positive trend in tourism, driven by the arrival of national and international tourists attracted by the beaches, cultural offerings, and traditions of the state. In the case of Taxco, hotels even reached full capacity at certain times during the season, demonstrating its importance as a tourist destination.
Authorities indicated that the hotel occupancy rates confirm the recovery and strengthening of the tourism sector in Guerrero, particularly in the destinations that make up the so-called Triangle of the Sun, where the majority of visitors are concentrated.
They also noted that these occupancy levels generate significant economic benefits for the state, supporting tourism service providers, businesses, and workers in the sector, solidifying Guerrero as one of the country’s preferred destinations during holiday seasons.
