Farmers and truckers blocked the Villa de Arriaga highway to protest the lack of security, the high cost of fuel, and the federal government’s failure to honor agreements.
The protesters used tractors, trucks, and vans to block the Villa de Arriaga-San Luis Potosí highway, near kilometer 58, in front of a gas station where they posted signs with protest slogans. In addition, dozens of disgruntled farmers and truckers blocked the San Luis-Ahualulco highway in the municipality of Ahualulco.
There is no information yet on when the blockade will be lifted.
