The Cablebús project in Puebla will be formally presented on April 13, incorporating technical adjustments based on citizen feedback. Cabinet Coordinator José Luis García Parra confirmed that the final route and integrated executive project are now complete, following receipt of the definitive design on March 31.
The new proposal stands out for its optimized system, which aims to reduce urban and environmental impact. Among the main changes is a reduction in the number of structures, from 96 to 87 towers. Additionally, nine strategic transfer nodes have been defined, connecting various points within the metropolitan area.
Key points of the executive project:
Coverage: It will benefit 45 neighborhoods, with a potential reach of 2.5 million inhabitants.
Connectivity: The system will link high-traffic areas such as Angelópolis, Plaza Dorada, Centro Xonaca, and Amalucan.
Environmental Impact: The official assured that the intervention in the trees will be minimal and denied any impact on Amalucan Hill, specifying that the works are limited to a parking lot and an adjacent property.
García Parra attributed the claims of alleged ecological damage to disinformation strategies promoted by opposition political actors, reiterating that the redesign prioritizes the conservation of green areas while modernizing the public transportation infrastructure in the capital.
