With thousands of vacationers returning to their homes, Governor Miguel Ángel Navarro said that 120 agents remain deployed at roadside assistance and information booths. Thousands of vehicles are expected to clog the highways this afternoon and evening as they head home.
“This weekend, it’s important to exercise caution, respect speed limits, and drive responsibly, especially for those resuming their activities tomorrow, to ensure everyone gets home safely,” Governor Navarro Quintero stated.
He said that the operations implemented throughout the state have provided assistance and response, with a ground presence and aerial monitoring using drones, which has helped locate missing persons and carry out rescues.
Thousands of vacationers, primarily from the Bajío region, especially Guanajuato, San Luis Potosí, Aguascalientes, and Guadalajara, have kept the beaches packed through Sunday, including those in Bahía de Banderas, Compostela with Guayabitos and La Penita de Jaltemba, as well as San Blas, among others.
Finally, Navarro Quintero said that more than 120 traffic officers are providing guidance and roadside assistance on the state’s highways.
