Mazatlán welcomed the cruise ship “Navigator of the Seas” this Monday, the 55th to arrive at the port so far this year.
The vessel docked at 7:30 a.m. from Los Cabos, carrying 3,820 passengers and 1,253 crew members.
Sinaloa’s Secretary of Tourism, Mireya Sosa Osuna, reported that 20 international cruise ships are expected to arrive in April, bringing a total of more than 74,000 visitors and generating an economic impact exceeding 118 million pesos.
During their stay in Mazatlán, tourists can explore some of the city’s main attractions, such as the Malecón (boardwalk), the Historic Center, Olas Altas beach, and the Golden Zone, among other iconic sites.
The arrival of these types of ships represents a significant boost to the local economy, benefiting merchants and tourism service providers, as well as strengthening Mazatlán’s image as a strategic destination for cruise tourism.
As of April 20th, Mazatlán has recorded 55 cruise ship arrivals this year, with over 202,000 visitors and an estimated economic impact exceeding 323 million pesos.
