The fourth edition of the International Automotive Industry Supply Summit, held this May 6th and 7th at the Convention Center, is being inaugurated.
This automotive industry business event is expected to draw more than 16,000 attendees, over 5,000 supplier companies, and more than 300 national and international buyers, according to information from the State Secretariat of Sustainable Development.
Furthermore, more than 7,000 business meetings are anticipated, with an estimated potential of nearly $9 billion in business opportunities.
In Querétaro, the automotive industry generates more than 70,000 formal jobs and represents approximately 27% of the state’s manufacturing GDP.
It was highlighted that the state has established itself as one of the most competitive industrial ecosystems in Latin America, thanks to a long-term vision, a strategic location, labor peace, universities linked to the industry, and a robust supply chain.
He added that the automotive industry represents one of the country’s greatest strengths, as Mexico is the world’s seventh-largest vehicle producer and fourth-largest exporter globally.
Furthermore, its annual production of auto parts exceeds $120 billion.
The industry faces new challenges: the energy transition, the relocation of production chains, technological innovation, and the need for more sustainable production.
