The mayor of Querétaro, Felifer Macías, announced that his administration has been working in coordination with the State Mobility Agency to promote a comprehensive system that will allow citizens to reduce travel time and costs.

As part of this strategy, he presented the relaunch of Qrobici, which includes a fleet of 350 mechanical bicycles and 250 electric-assist bicycles, as well as the installation of 50 stations distributed throughout the city.

The mayor explained that this system will be integrated into the Qrobús app, where a specific module will be enabled to facilitate its use and improve connectivity between different modes of transportation.

He also announced the launch of EQROBUS, a new service that will operate in the city center with electric vehicles. This system will have an initial fleet of four buses with a capacity of 30 passengers each and 10 additional units with a capacity of 13 passengers each.

The goal of these actions, he noted, is to strengthen mobility in the municipality’s seven districts, with sustainable and efficient alternatives that contribute to improving the quality of life for the residents of Querétaro.

Finally, the mayor emphasized that coordination between the different levels of government and citizen participation have been key to advancing projects that seek to guarantee safer, more accessible, and faster commutes in the capital.
