New notary offices in Yucatán: where they will be located and who will head them

The Government of Yucatán awarded nine new notary licenses to provide services in the municipalities of Kanasín, Conkal, Umán, Valladolid, Tixkokob, Tecoh, and Motul.

During the ceremony, the State Legal Counsel, Gaspar Alemañy Ortiz, stated that the new notaries are beginning a new professional phase focused on performing their duties in accordance with the law and with responsibility toward the public.

The official indicated that the Legal Counsel’s Office maintains coordination with the Notary Association of the State of Yucatán and reiterated that state authorities will act within the legal framework in any situation that affects legal certainty or the assets of individuals.

The licenses awarded correspond to Public Notary Office No. 136, located in Kanasín, headed by Mariana Wabi González; and No. 137, in Conkal, headed by Rodrigo Seijo Peón. Notary Public Office No. 138, in Umán, headed by José Eduardo Carrillo Lara; and No. 139, in Valladolid, headed by María Elisa Garrido Lizárraga.

The Government of Yucatán published Decree 747, which amended Article 40 of the Civil Registry Law.

Notaries also received their licenses: Faridh Armando López Cano for Notary Public Office No. 140, located in Tixkokob; Carlos Leopoldo Canto Castro for No. 141, in Conkal; Daniela López Cantón for No. 142, in Tecoh; José Manuel Gil Baeza for No. 143, in Valladolid; and Dianely Castillo Medina for No. 144, in Motul.

The notarial function consists of providing public attestation and legality to various legal acts performed by individuals, companies, and institutions.

The event was attended by representatives from the General Secretariat of the Government, the Legal Counsel, the Institute of Legal and Patrimonial Security of the State, and the notary guild.
