The Jalisco State Government and the Tonalá City Council signed an agreement to strengthen operations against the illegal slot machines that Juncal Solano promoted in the so-called “Welfare Stores.”
These machines are prohibited and have been linked to organized crime networks. But that didn’t stop them from being installed in Tololotlán during 2025.
Weren’t they supposed to be “Welfare Stores”? Because they ended up being accused of promoting illegal businesses connected to crime.
In Tonalá alone, 373 slot machines have already been seized, and with this new agreement between the municipality and the State Government, it is expected that the operations will increase even further.
