Today, the clash between Washington and the National Palace reached its point of no return. While the United States sharpens the knives for military intervention, the Mexican government has just decided on its final strategy: absolute cover-up.
Let’s analyze the two sides of this Black Tuesday, because the hypocrisy has just broken all records:
- THE DIRECT THREAT (THE PENTAGON IS NO LONGER HIDEA):
Pete Hegseth, U.S. Secretary of Defense, appeared today and uttered a phrase that should have the entire Mexican security cabinet trembling. Referring to the cartels, he said:
“We hope the Mexican government will take a step forward so that we don’t have to.”
In military terms: “Either they clean up their mess, or we’ll go in with the Armed Forces to clean it up.”
This isn’t a diplomatic request; it’s the pretext for an incursion (the infamous ISIS Doctrine we’ve already warned about). They’ve just been given the final ultimatum.
- THE INSTITUTIONAL COVER-UP (HARFUCH’S FALL):
And how did Mexico respond to this ultimatum? With the most humiliating act of political submission of the six-year term.
Omar García Harfuch, the Secretary of Security, went on the morning press conference to vouch for a man accused of trafficking fentanyl by the U.S. justice system. He said that “they didn’t detect any illicit conduct” and that “there is no federal investigation” against Rocha Moya.
The analysis of the betrayal: Harfuch, the supposed “Super Cop” who came to clean up the country, has just been used as the regime’s doormat.
Why is Harfuch defending the indefensible? Because Rocha Moya’s blackmail (“if I fall, everyone falls”) worked.
The order from the presidential office was clear: “Omar, go out and say he’s clean.” Harfuch has just squandered his international prestige to become the defense attorney for narco-politics.
- THE MACABRE GAME OF EVIDENCE:
Mexico hides behind the excuse that “the U.S. hasn’t sent the complete formal evidence.”
Of course they haven’t! Washington is playing cat and mouse. They want to see how far Sheinbaum’s government will go to protect its governor. Today, by declaring Rocha Moya “innocent” without even investigating him, Mexico has just taken the bait. They have just confirmed to Trump that the State is an accomplice, not a victim.
THE CONCLUSION:
The stage is set for disaster. The U.S. demands action or it will intervene, and Mexico responds by turning a blind eye and declaring an “official amnesty” for its governors accused of drug trafficking.
There is no greater blindness than that of a government terrified by its own secrets. Harfuch tried to put out the fire with gasoline, and now Trump’s war machine has the perfect excuse: If Mexico doesn’t want to investigate its narco-politicians, the United States will come and arrest them.
