In the last week of May, enjoy the culture and tradition in Veracruz

The State Government, through the Ministry of Tourism, is strengthening the promotion of Veracruz with a weekly agenda of fairs, carnivals, festivals, and activities for the whole family in various regions, boosting tourism, the local economy, and showcasing the state as vibrant, attractive, and rich in tradition.

The program includes the Uxpanapa Fair, from May 27 to 31; and the Mango Fair in Actopan, from May 28 to 31. These events offer an opportunity to enjoy the region’s productive, gastronomic, and cultural identity.

The festivities continue with the Flor de Caña Carnival in Tlacojalpan, from May 28 to June 1; the Chinameca Carnival; the Los Robles Carnival in Medellín; the Jalcomulco Carnival on May 29 and 30; and the Tihuatlán Carnival on May 30 and 31.

In the sports arena, highlights include the games between the Veracruz Eagles and the Yucatán Lions, part of the Mexican Baseball League, in Boca del Río on May 29, 30, and 31; as well as the Veracruz Reefs Open Water Swimming Challenge, at Antón Lizardo Beach in Alvarado and Pelícano Beach in Boca del Río on May 30 and 31.

The schedule also includes the First Chagalapoli Festival in Catemaco on May 30; the Corpus Christi Fair in Papantla from May 30 to June 7; and the 19th edition of Mr. Tiburón at the Francisco Javier Clavijero Theater in Veracruz on May 31. and the traditional gastronomic event, “The World’s Largest Arroz a la Tumbada,” in Alvarado, on the 31st.

With this program, Veracruz invites visitors and families to explore its municipalities, enjoy its traditions, experience its beaches, savor its cuisine, and participate in activities that strengthen local tourism.
