The Undersecretary of Tourism for the State of Colima announced that, starting June 25, the Aeroméxico flight connecting Colima with Mexico City will relocate its operations from Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) to Benito Juárez International Airport (AICM) in Mexico City.

The Colima-AICM route will operate daily, strengthening Colima’s air connectivity with the country’s main airport.

The state agency emphasized that this change will improve national and international connection options for tourists, visitors, and business travelers by operating from AICM, facilitating more efficient and competitive access to the state of Colima.

It was also highlighted that this development complements the ongoing efforts to strengthen connectivity and further position the state as a strategic destination on Mexico’s Pacific coast.

In a statement, the Undersecretary of Tourism, Jorge Padilla, also celebrated the upcoming launch of the new AIFA-Manzanillo air route, operated by Viva Aerobus, which will begin flights on July 2.

This will expand transportation options to Manzanillo, Colima’s main tourist and port destination.

The Government of the State of Colima and the Undersecretary of Tourism reaffirm their commitment to continue promoting actions and strategic alliances that strengthen connectivity, boost tourism, and contribute to economic development.
