The Mexico City Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) reported the seizure of 59 homemade explosive devices during a vehicle inspection operation on the Mexico City-Cuernavaca highway.
The agency explained that the seizure was part of a security operation implemented at various highway access points to the capital, aimed at preventing the entry of objects that could pose a risk to the public.
It also stated that the devices were seized and secured by specialized personnel from the “Zorros” unit, responsible for handling these types of hazardous materials, for analysis and disposal according to established protocols.
