A young truck driver went viral after publicly denouncing his arrest by police officers while driving on Highway 57 towards Hidalgo.
According to his account, during the inspection, one of the officers entered the cab of his truck, and moments later, a bag containing a substance that he claims did not belong to him appeared.
From that moment on, he says they demanded 10,000 pesos to let him continue.
But the most disturbing part of his testimony wasn’t just the alleged extortion, but the emotional trauma he described:
“I was feeling great, that was my last delivery, and I was about to go home.”
Then, filled with anger and helplessness, he recounted how he ended up beaten, exhausted, and without his travel allowance:
“Now I’m going home penniless, beaten, and exhausted.” 💰The young man also stated that the officers took his wallet, which contained approximately 6,000 pesos:
🗣️“It was my travel expenses.”
One of the most painful parts of his complaint was when he explained that, in addition to the financial loss, his reputation as a worker was also tarnished:
🗣️“What will my boss think? That I do drugs, when they’re entrusting me with driving his truck?”
📍The driver indicated that this occurred on the stretch of road between Jorobas and Conejos, and he urged other truckers to be very careful when traveling through the area.
👩⚖️He also requested that his video reach the appropriate authorities so that the incident can be investigated:
🗣️“I hope it reaches the government so they can help all the people who have been victims of these things.”
🧐His complaint raises a very difficult question once again: what does a worker do when they no longer know whether to protect themselves from criminals or from those in uniform?
👉No driver should have to go out on the road fearing the loss of their money, their dignity, their freedom, or their life while simply trying to do their job.
