Today, June 17, the dollar opened trading with an interbank exchange rate of 17.21 Mexican pesos per greenback, marking a 0.05% gain, according to Bloomberg data.
The Mexican peso appreciated yesterday, bolstered by increased risk appetite amid optimism regarding an end to the war in the Middle East, although traders remained attentive to the start of the Federal Reserve’s (Fed) monetary policy meeting.
Among banks, the dollar was selling at 17.80 pesos at Afirme, 17.60 at Banamex, 17.50 at Banorte, 17.48 at BBVA, 17.75 at Santander, and 17.90 at Scotiabank.

In the last session, the Bank of Mexico (Banxico) recorded an exchange rate of 17.20 pesos per dollar.
