The governor of the state of Durango, Esteban Villegas Villarreal, announced a special promotion to allow all residents to catch up on their vehicle registration plate payments.
During a public event, the Durango governor stated that he would instruct the Revenue Collection Department to eliminate all surcharges applied to individuals who do not have current vehicle plates. The measure also includes trailers primarily used in agricultural and livestock activities.
How to Pay Online to Take Advantage of These Replating Discounts
Although this procedure can be completed in person at any of the Multipayment Centers located throughout the city and various municipalities in the state, there is also the option to complete it online through the portal www.pagos.durango.gob.mx, which allows payments to be made securely, quickly, and easily.
To complete the online replating process, it is necessary to create an account and log in. Registration requires a mobile phone number, a password, and an email address.
What Information Is Required to Make the Online Payment?
To complete this process, the system requests the vehicle owner’s name, the license plate number, and the last six digits of the vehicle identification number (VIN).
In addition, the current set of plates and the vehicle registration card must be presented. In the event of loss, a corresponding report filed with the appropriate authority will be required. It is important to note that a debit or credit card is needed to make the online payment.
Where Can the Payment Be Made in Person?
If you prefer to complete the procedure in person, you may visit any of the following Multipayment Centers:
- Multipayment Center at the Administrative Unit, known as Carnation.
- Constitución Multipayment Center.
- Domingo Arrieta Multipayment Center.
- 20 de Noviembre Multipayment Center, at the corner of Miguel de Cervantes.
- Paseo Durango Multipayment Center.
- Plaza San Agustín Multipayment Center.
Are There Discounts for Vehicle Registration Renewal?
During the first three months of the year, discounts are offered for early payment of the vehicle registration renewal fee; however, for the remainder of the year, the fee must be paid without additional incentives.
When completing the replating process, it is also mandatory to pay the vehicle registration renewal fee, which has the following costs:
- Private-use automobiles, trucks, and buses: 2,534 pesos.
- Trailers, tractors, and similar vehicles (except agricultural equipment): 2,217 pesos.
- Motorcycles, scooters, and similar vehicles: 950.38 pesos.
- Senior citizens, retirees, pensioners, or people with disabilities: 1,267 pesos.
- Private-service tow trucks: 3,326.32 pesos.
How Long Will This Replating Promotion Last?
So far, the State Government has not officially announced the deadline for taking advantage of the elimination of surcharges associated with the replating process.
