The Sonora State Government, through the Sonora State Commission for Ecology and Sustainable Development (CEDES), announced that the Sonora Ecological Center “Dr. Samuel Ocaña García” will be modifying its operating hours due to the high temperatures.
The measure takes effect this Tuesday and aims to offer a better, safer, and more comfortable experience for visitors during the Sonoran summer.
According to official information, the Ecological Center will operate from Wednesday to Sunday, from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Ecosafari tour will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., allowing families and tourists to enjoy outdoor activities during cooler hours.
CEDES specified that once the ticket booth closes at 1:00 p.m., visitors will have an additional two hours to complete their tour within the facilities.
This measure aims to mitigate the effects of high temperatures and provide greater flexibility for those already inside the park.
The Sonora State Government urged the public to take advantage of the early morning hours to visit the Sonora Ecological Center “Dr. Samuel Ocaña García,” considered a key space for conservation, environmental education, and recreation in the state.
State authorities reiterated that these actions are part of the adaptation measures to the summer climate in the region, with the goal of promoting environmental awareness and stewardship among the population.
