With a total of 4,804 passengers and 1,431 crew members, the Carnival Panorama cruise ship arrived in Mazatlán on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, immediately activating the transportation sector. Hours before the ship docked at the fiscal pier, transportation providers were waiting to offer city tours to the tourists.

According to the Sinaloa Tourism Secretariat, this was the 75th cruise ship to visit Mazatlán this year, further solidifying the city’s position as a favorite destination for international cruise lines.

Cruise ship tourists drive the service providers’ economy.

Don’t miss: Destinations that once focused on international tourism are now targeting domestic tourism. Mazatlán is on its guard!

The Secretariat added that Mazatlán has received six cruise ships in June, bringing more than 25,000 tourists.

The economic impact of these arrivals this month has already exceeded 40 million pesos, directly benefiting the region’s commerce, services, and transportation sectors.

City tours benefit a large part of the local economy. The influx of visitors not only revitalizes the urban area and main tourist attractions of Mazatlán, but many passengers also take advantage of their stay to excursions to nearby rural communities, diversifying the economic benefits and allowing international tourists to discover the rich cultural, gastronomic, and historical heritage surrounding Mazatlán.
