Three Arrested in Connection With the Theft of Five Million Pesos From a Banco del Bienestar Branch in Nuevo León

The investigation into the theft of five million pesos from a Banco del Bienestar branch in Guadalupe, Nuevo León, has led to the arrest of three individuals, including the bank’s manager, who authorities allege participated in planning the robbery.

How Was the Bank Manager Arrested?

The Nuevo León State Attorney General’s Office reported that the employee, identified as Delia “N,” 32, was arrested on June 25 on charges of resisting law enforcement. She remains in pretrial detention at a women’s correctional facility while prosecutors continue investigating her alleged involvement in the robbery.

As part of the investigation, the State Investigation Agency executed two search warrants at properties located in Apodaca and San Nicolás de los Garza. During one of the operations, authorities arrested Alexis “N,” 25, and Armando “N,” 50. Both have been formally charged with money laundering-related offenses and drug-related crimes.

Authorities Recover Part of the Stolen Money

During the searches, investigators recovered 1,851,200 pesos, which is believed to be part of the money stolen from the bank.

Authorities also seized:

  • A Ford Mustang
  • A Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck

According to investigators, these vehicles were allegedly purchased using part of the stolen funds.

The Attorney General’s Office also reported the seizure of:

  • A GMC Terrain
  • A Chevrolet Aveo
  • A Chevrolet Spark
  • A Ford Escort

Authorities believe the Ford Escort was used by the suspects during the robbery.

How the Robbery Took Place

The robbery occurred at a Banco del Bienestar branch located in the Torremolinos neighborhood of Guadalupe.

According to the investigation, two men dressed in black entered the bank after the last customers had left. They threatened the employees and forced them to open the vault. The suspects then locked the staff inside a restroom before fleeing with approximately five million pesos.

The investigation remains ongoing as prosecutors continue working to determine the role each of the three suspects allegedly played in the robbery.
