Mexican Army Introduces the SAGAZ Plan to Strengthen Security Between Aguascalientes and Zacatecas

The Mexican Army has introduced the SAGAZ Plan (Aguascalientes–Zacatecas Security Plan), a strategy through which military personnel, in coordination with police forces from both states, will strengthen security operations, particularly along the highways and roads connecting Aguascalientes and Zacatecas.

What Is the SAGAZ Plan?

The SAGAZ Plan is a strategy designed to strengthen interagency coordination, information sharing, and joint actions related to public security and law enforcement between the two states.

The initiative was presented at the facilities of the 11th Military Zone in the municipality of Guadalupe, Zacatecas.

During the event, the Governor of Aguascalientes, Tere Jiménez, emphasized:

“Coordination among the three levels of government is essential to combine capabilities, act more effectively, and guarantee the protection of families and the stability of the country.”

Aguascalientes also operates a Command, Control, Communications, Computing, Coordination, and Intelligence Center (C5i), recognized nationally for its effectiveness and use of advanced technology. These tools enhance prevention, surveillance, and rapid response capabilities in situations that may threaten public safety.
