Omar García Harfuch, Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), reported that the Security Cabinet has arrested Colombian citizens linked to the training and manufacture of explosive devices and narco-mining equipment in Michoacán.

“There have been several arrests here in Michoacán, specifically of Colombian citizens. Many have entered the country, according to the National Intelligence Center, which has been closely monitoring them at the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) and other airports,” he stated.

“There is a large investigation underway. The leader, who is also here in Michoacán, has been identified. One of the most important figures is from the Jalisco Cartel, and there has been participation from Colombian citizens and citizens of other countries, primarily Colombia. A significant number of arrests have already been made, which have also been reported here in the morning press conferences,” García Harfuch responded.

In that regard, he pledged to specify the exact number of people arrested for their involvement in the manufacture of explosive devices and assured that they are working in coordination with their counterparts in Colombia.
