The State Council of Science and Technology invites children and teenagers between the ages of 7 and 15 to develop future-ready skills through interactive workshops in robotics, art, and science experiments from July 20 to August 7.

With the goal of bringing scientific and technological knowledge closer to younger generations in a fun and innovative way, the government of the state of Nayarit, through the State Council of Science and Technology of Nayarit (COCYTEN), has launched the call to participate in STEAM Summer 2026, a program aimed at children and teenagers between 7 and 15 years old.

During this summer program, participants will have the opportunity to learn through hands-on activities related to science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM), promoting the development of skills such as creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork.

STEAM Summer 2026 Activities and Workshops: Robotics, Science, and Art for Children

The program will take place from July 20 to August 7, with activities held Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., providing a safe and dynamic environment where participants can experiment, build, program, and create while interacting with other young people interested in innovation.

To provide a better learning experience, activities will be organized by age groups: 7 to 9 years, 10 to 12 years, and 13 to 15 years, adapting the content and challenges to the abilities and interests of each group.

Among the activities included in STEAM Summer 2026 are interactive workshops, scientific experiments, robotics projects, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics, all led by specialized instructors committed to inspiring scientific curiosity in younger generations.

Requirements, Fees, and Registration for the COCYTEN Summer Program

The participation fee will be 800 pesos per block, which will cover the activities and materials required for each workshop.

COCYTEN highlighted that programs like this aim to strengthen children’s and teenagers’ interest in scientific and technological disciplines while fostering skills that will be essential for their future academic and professional development.
