Public perception of the Campeche government’s performance keeps Layda Sansores San Román among the lowest-ranked governors in the country, according to the 76th edition of CE Research’s Ranking of Governors of Mexico. The governor appears in 30th place out of 32 in the indicators of governance capacity, poverty reduction, finance, and security, ranking only above Veracruz and Zacatecas.

She received a 30% approval rating for governance capacity; she also registered 30% for poverty reduction; and the same percentage for finance. She achieved her best rating in security with 44% approval, although this score was not enough to lift her from the bottom of the national rankings, remaining in 30th place.

These results are released as the state administration approaches its fifth year in office, reflecting that the perception of the Campeche government’s performance continues to be among the lowest in the country in areas considered priorities. CE Research’s assessment coincides with other recent polling exercises, which have also placed Layda Sansores among the governors with the lowest approval ratings nationwide.
