A new tourism promotion campaign for Mazatlán launched this Friday, aiming to increase its social media presence through catchy phrases.

The campaign, called “Mazatlán is Shared,” was developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, the hotel sector, public transportation services, and schools.

Locals and tourists will see various attractive phrases displayed on buses, taxis, horse-drawn carriages, and open-air taxis (pulmonías). The goal is for them to capture these phrases and upload them to social media using the hashtag #Mazatlansecomparte, which will help reach a wider audience and increase tourism.

Michelle Aguilar Ramos, Undersecretary of Tourism Promotion and Operations for the Ministry of Tourism, emphasized the importance of these campaigns, which are promoted by the private sector and involved young people, as they were developed by students from the CBTIS 51 high school and the Tourism Faculty of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa (UAS).

Some of the phrases are: Your smile is the best postcard for Mazatlán

Mazatlán embraces you with sun, sea, and smiles

Mazatlán isn’t visited, it’s lived, when are you coming?
