Real estate fraud continues in Mazatlán.

The real estate sector in Mazatlán has grown exponentially in recent years. However, alongside investment opportunities and the dream of buying a home, serious risks have also emerged that can jeopardize families’ assets.

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.— Reports of real estate fraud continue to surface in Mazatlán, while actions to combat these crimes remain virtually nonexistent.

The city has seen a growing number of complaints from people who claim they have been victims of alleged real estate fraud.

The victims report the same pattern: construction companies received full payment for homes that were never delivered.

Amid the real estate boom taking place in the port city, those affected have denounced the ongoing operation of alleged real estate fraud networks, which, they claim, continue to operate without any visible sanctions from the authorities.

Unfortunately, these alleged real estate fraud schemes continue to operate without any penalties.

Given this situation, there is a call for the authorities to disclose how many investigations are currently open, what progress has been made in these cases, and why the companies that have been repeatedly accused continue to operate despite the numerous allegations.

This publication aims to prevent more people from becoming victims of this type of crime.

As long as there are no meaningful penalties or visible results from the authorities, real estate fraud may continue to grow in the region, affecting both local residents and investors.

REAL ESTATE FRAUD INCREASES IN THE PORT

Hundreds of people from Mazatlán, other parts of Mexico, and even abroad have fallen victim to fraudulent real estate companies.
