Members of the Lleca Trans Collective vandalized the Bellas Artes and Hidalgo metro stations, breaking the new chandeliers that were part of the renovation work.

The protests began this morning at the encampment they maintained near the Ministry of the Interior in the Juárez neighborhood, demanding a meeting with federal authorities to discuss a Comprehensive Trans Law that guarantees effective access to rights such as health, housing, education, and employment with rights.

They then took their protests to the intersection of Budapest and Reforma streets, where they vandalized traffic lights.

The women then marched to the Senate building, where they broke picture frames on the perimeter fence and used barricades to block traffic.

After finishing at this location, they arrived at Eje Central, where they again blocked traffic until they entered the metro stations, even allowing passengers to ride for free.

Minutes later they reported that they would withdraw their sit-in at the Segob after signing a memorandum with federal authorities.
