Investigative journalist Luis Chaparro asserted during an interview with Político MX that Morena Senator Julieta Ramírez is allegedly part of a structure he identifies as “narco-politics,” where she would perform political and financial operational functions. He also maintained that the legislator is under investigation by U.S. authorities.
According to Chaparro, Ramírez’s role would be to provide political support to the governor of Sinaloa, Rubén Rocha Moya, coordinate a communications strategy to contain criticism of his administration, and manage financial resources within this alleged structure.
The journalist also reiterated his claim that the senator lost her U.S. visa. However, he acknowledged that he lacks evidence to assert that Julieta Ramírez personally met with members of organized crime, stating that, in his opinion, her role would be focused on political and financial operations.
To date, there is no official court ruling or confirmation from U.S. authorities to support these allegations. For her part, Senator Julieta Ramírez, who is on leave and seeking the governorship of Baja California, has not issued a specific statement regarding the declarations of the journalist, who is recognized for his work and investigations, and for making weighty statements in internationally recognized media outlets, and whose credibility and reputation are impeccable.
