The Emilia Ortiz Contemporary Art Center is one of the key venues in this season’s interactive circuit. Children and young people will be able to develop their creativity through the summer courses coordinated by CECAN.
With the purpose of bringing art, culture, and the state’s historical heritage closer to families in Nayarit during the vacation period, the Government of Nayarit, through the State Council for Culture and the Arts of Nayarit (CECAN), has launched the 2026 Summer Cultural Circuit, an initiative that invites visitors to explore various cultural spaces through the Cultural Passport.
This program will take place from July 14 to August 28 and is open to people of all ages, who will be able to participate in summer courses, art workshops, exhibitions, guided tours, concerts, and a wide variety of cultural activities held at different venues throughout the state.
The initiative consists of obtaining a Cultural Passport, with which participants can collect stamps at each venue they visit, turning the experience into an interactive journey that encourages learning about Nayarit’s cultural offerings.
What venues will be part of the Summer Cultural Circuit?
Cultural authorities reported that the official schedule of activities has not yet been published, so they recommended that the public stay tuned to the official social media accounts and platforms, where the dates, times, venues, and registration requirements for each event will be announced in the coming days. The participating venues include:
- Emilia Ortiz Contemporary Art Center.
- Museum of the Five Peoples.
- Argüello Hall.
- Bellavista Cultural Center.
- Siglo XXI School of Music.
- Regional Museum of Nayarit.
Additional venues will also join the circuit with activities specially designed for the vacation season. People interested in obtaining their Cultural Passport can find more information through the official website of the State Council for Culture and the Arts of Nayarit and on the Facebook page “Visita tu Museo NAY”, where program updates will also be shared.
Promoting culture in Nayarit
This year’s slogan is “Learn, Create, Discover, and Experience a Different Summer,” an invitation for children, teenagers, and adults to make the most of their vacation by participating in activities that encourage creativity, learning, and a closer connection to the state’s cultural heritage.
Through this program, the state government aims to strengthen public participation in Nayarit’s cultural life, encourage visits to museums and cultural centers, and provide recreational and educational opportunities for families throughout the summer.
The recommendation is to stay updated through the official CECAN Nayarit channels and “Visita tu Museo Nayarit,” where the complete program for the 2026 Summer Cultural Circuit and participation details will be announced soon.
