The Michoacán government inaugurated the modernization of the Elías Pérez Ávalos Boulevard, located in the municipal seat of Villa Madero. This project will improve mobility for more than 6,200 vehicles that travel through the area daily.
During the inauguration, Governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla emphasized that the modernization of this 1.3-kilometer stretch will strengthen connectivity in one of the state’s most important agricultural regions by facilitating the transport of products such as berries and avocados.
Buses and trucks carrying berries and avocados use this route. “It’s a very productive area of Michoacán, and its roads should be in the best possible condition,” he emphasized.
Villa Madero-Etúcuaro Highway Reaches 72% Completion
After inaugurating the Elías Pérez Ávalos Boulevard, Ramírez Bedolla inspected the rehabilitation work on the Villa Madero-Etúcuaro highway, whose modernization is 72% complete.
The project includes the rehabilitation of an 11.8-kilometer stretch and will improve traffic flow for an average of 816 vehicles that travel this route daily.
The governor explained that the work includes pavement resurfacing, applying a tack coat, applying a prime coat, and laying asphalt.
The remaining tasks mainly involve the installation of horizontal and vertical signage, and the rehabilitation is expected to be completed by the end of August.
