León International Balloon Festival (FIG) 2026 Announces Free Admission Day, Concerts, and Ticket Presale
The León International Balloon Festival (FIG) has revealed the first details for its 2026 edition, and it’s shaping up to be a major event. In addition to the traditional spectacle of more than 200 hot air balloons filling the skies over Guanajuato, organizers have announced major concerts, a more affordable ticket presale, and the best news for budget-conscious travelers: one day of free admission.

Friday, November 13: Free Admission Day
The biggest surprise this year is that Friday, November 13, admission to Metropolitan Park for the International Balloon Festival will be completely free.
Visitors will be able to enter before dawn to watch the spectacular mass balloon launch, enjoy breakfast, explore the park, and stay through the evening for the official opening ceremony, which will conclude with a concert by Los Ángeles Azules.
This initiative by the local government is intended as a gesture of appreciation for the community that hosts the festival, although the free admission applies to all visitors.
Regional Mexican Music Takes the Stage: Christian Nodal and Xavi
Fans of Regional Mexican music should mark Sunday, November 15, on their calendars. The festival has announced a double concert featuring Christian Nodal and Xavi on the same stage.
One major advantage is that no separate concert ticket is required. The performances are included with the Afternoon Pass, Day Pass, and VIP Pass.
The lineup is not yet complete.
Three additional concerts are still to be announced, including a performance from a new music genre and this year’s headlining act.
