Octavio “N,” accused of allegedly verbally and physically assaulting a hotel receptionist in Mexico City, was arrested in San Diego, California, United States.
According to the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office (Fiscalía CDMX), the alleged attacker is being investigated for his probable involvement in the crime of attempted femicide.
When the incident became public and went viral on social media, an investigation was launched, and a Public Prosecutor obtained an arrest warrant against the man, who was identified as a real estate businessman from Sinaloa.
The Mexico City Attorney General’s Office expanded efforts to locate the suspect outside Mexico and requested the issuance of a Red Notice from the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol).
The agency also maintained contact with U.S. authorities and requested the creation of immigration alerts, which led to the identification of the suspect.
“This cooperation made it possible, once Octavio ‘N’ was detained by U.S. immigration authorities, to confirm his identity and establish that he was wanted by the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office pursuant to an arrest warrant,” the capital’s prosecutor’s office explained in an official statement.
Octavio “N” is currently in the custody of U.S. authorities. However, the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office is already carrying out the necessary procedures to request his deportation to Mexico.
The incident for which the businessman is being investigated occurred on June 29, 2026, at the Park Life Paradox Hotel, in Santa Fe, in the Cuajimalpa borough of Mexico City.
That day, security cameras captured Octavio “N” insulting and assaulting the building’s receptionist. At one point in the video, the alleged attacker knocked her to the ground and kicked her, while a security guard stood nearby and was unable to stop the attack.
