What You Need to Know:
Last week, he was celebrating the release of his new single “Qué Andas Haciendo,” together with the Argentine group Ke Personajes.
Regional Mexican music has just reached the Asian continent, believe it or not, as on August 14, the Summer Sonic stage in Japan welcomed Carín León.
The singer made his debut on the Mountain Stage in Osaka, where he performed several of his biggest hits, which were sung along to by the entire audience, once again demonstrating that music knows no borders.
It seems that Carín had an incredible time with the Japanese audience, because after finishing his concert he said: “Thank you, Japan, for so much affection, so much love. What an unforgettable experience coming to this great country. How crazy, we still can’t believe what is happening. Long live Japan and its people!”

But it didn’t end at the festival, because before taking the stage, he surprised his followers by appearing to record some songs from his album MUDA in an acoustic format inside a traditional Buddhist temple in Osaka.
But the Story Doesn’t End There
This Saturday, August 15, it was Tokyo’s turn, where Carín once again made history by becoming the first Mexican singer to headline a festival in the Japanese capital.
In addition, he arrived as the official curator of the Beach Stage, where he selected Mexican artists to represent the new generation of Mexican music. These included LATIN MAFIA and Paloma Morphy.
And There’s Still More
After his performances on the Asian continent, Carín León is heading directly to the United States to make his debut at the Sphere in Las Vegas, where he will perform seven concerts, becoming the first Latin artist to perform at this venue.
The singer is also coming off several successes, as just last week he released his new single “Qué Andas Haciendo,” together with the Argentine group Ke Personajes, which, if you’re dealing with a broken heart, surely deserves a spot on your playlist.
So yes, regional Mexican music is breaking boundaries and reaching stages where we may never have imagined seeing it.
