The State Government, through the Secretariat of Innovation and Economic Development (SIDE) and Inadet, officially presented the flag to 15 students who make up the second generation of the “Development of Chihuahua Talent in Taiwan” program.
With an investment of 11.5 million pesos, the students will receive specialized training in Smart Manufacturing Automation and Artificial Intelligence.
They will complete one semester at the Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology and will subsequently undertake a two-week stay at the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI).
During their training, they will cover topics such as smart manufacturing, automated optical inspection, mechatronic integration, Artificial Intelligence applied to the Internet of Things, and smart machinery monitoring.
The director general of Inadet, Sergio Mancinas Peña, emphasized that the program represents an investment in young talent and the training of professionals capable of responding to the industry’s new challenges.
“Chihuahua talent has the ability to compete and stand out internationally. This second generation will have access to cutting-edge knowledge that can become innovation and productivity for our state,” he said.
This initiative continues the work of the first generation, which consisted of 22 students, many of whom have already joined the workforce, demonstrating the impact this international experience has had on their professional development.
The student Antonio Villaverde, a member of this second generation, highlighted the commitment represented by this training opportunity and the importance of ensuring that the knowledge acquired contributes to strengthening talent and the Chihuahua industry.
“We are going to bring back knowledge so that the hands already working here are worth more. So that the person who operates a machine today can operate a better one tomorrow. And so that their work is worth more, not less,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of Innovation and Economic Development, Ulises Alejandro Fernández Gamboa, stated that the program seeks to prepare new generations for Chihuahua’s technological transformation.
“We are investing in the talent of our young people so that they can have access to world-class experiences and return to Chihuahua to contribute their knowledge to the development of our industry,” he stated.
At the end of the flag presentation ceremony, the students, accompanied by their families, received the “Proper Management of Emotions” workshop, provided through Inadet’s Emotional Well-Being Program, to give them tools to positively face the challenges, changes, and emotions that this new stage of training represents.
