The State Government and airline Volaris announced the addition of five new direct international routes connecting Guadalajara International Airport with the cities of Atlanta, Washington Dulles, Boston, Raleigh-Durham, and Nashville.
The expansion will strengthen the state’s commercial, tourism, and cultural connectivity. In this regard, Governor Pablo Lemus Navarro highlighted the significance of the airport project:
“You know that Guadalajara International Airport has been considered the best in Latin America, and we are working hard to make it the best-connected airport.”
Itinerary details and flight frequencies:
- Launch in October: Routes to Atlanta and Washington Dulles will begin operations on October 2, while flights to Boston, Raleigh-Durham, and Nashville will begin on October 15.
- Weekly frequencies: Flights to Atlanta and Boston will operate four times a week, while Washington Dulles, Nashville, and Raleigh-Durham will operate three times a week.
- Network growth: With this expansion, the Guadalajara airport will exceed 65 destinations and 100 daily flights, accumulating 49 new air route openings under the current state administration.
- Launch fares: Tickets for these new connections will be offered with introductory fares starting at 90 U.S. dollars.
