This Thursday, the murder of José Luis ‘N’, a Sonoran influencer known as El Piturris, was reported while he was working at a taquería in Ciudad Obregón, an incident that is already being investigated by the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE).
The 37-year-old man was working at a taquería when he was shot by a man who fled on a motorcycle. Here is what is known about the content creator.
Who was El Piturris?
José Luis, El Piturris, had more than 40,000 followers on TikTok and more than 90,000 on his Facebook page, where he shared part of his life through photographs and videos that he frequently accompanied with the phrase, “may your spirits never fall.”
The young man was a participant in a podcast titled Desde la O, whose content focused on personal anecdotes. His death was announced on the page with the phrase: “Our hearts are broken into a thousand pieces.”
El Piturris, who was the father of a child whose age is unknown, posted images of himself attending banda concerts, with customers at the taquería, and alongside luxury vehicles.
Among his most recent posts, one photograph stands out in which he appears with his face covered. He added the song Cero Miedo by Grupo Marca Registrada, whose lyrics contain a verse that says: “I am aware of death; what other people think is beside the point.”
In another post, he appears next to an image of singer Chalino Sánchez, who is carrying a firearm. He added the song Armando Aguirre, which mentions: “I have had a contract signed since I came into this world; we never put a date on it, which is why I live comfortably.”
El Piturris also promoted his entertainment services, guaranteeing two hours of “fun, joking around, and an assured atmosphere so that your event is not forgotten.”
What is known about the crime?
According to the FGE statement, José Luis ‘N’ was attacked with firearm projectiles at a taquería located near the intersection of Chihuahua and Sebastián Lerdo de Tejada streets, in the Reforma neighborhood.
Two .40-caliber shell casings were collected at the scene as evidence that will be analyzed as part of the investigation.
“The FGJES is awaiting the fieldwork by Forensic Services, the results of the autopsy, and the analysis of the ballistic evidence, with the purpose of establishing the circumstances of the incident and determining what other matters the homicide may be related to,” the statement added.
