Due to persistent failures in the electricity supply, water distribution has been affected, causing intermittent service and water shortages in various neighborhoods of Tijuana and Playas de Rosarito.
The Tijuana State Public Services Commission (CESPT) reported that its personnel continue to monitor the agency’s facilities in order to reactivate the equipment as soon as adequate electrical conditions are available.
Neighborhoods affected in Tijuana
According to information provided by CESPT, the neighborhoods experiencing intermittent service or lack of water are distributed across different districts of the city.
In the Juan Ojeda district are El Lago, Insurgentes, Jardines del Lago, Las Torres, Las Torres II, and Otay Magisterial.
In the Paraíso district, the affected areas are Colinas de California, Colonia México, La Rioja Residencial, Las Palmas, Montebello, and Residencial La Esmeralda.
Meanwhile, the Aldo Esquer district has reported issues in Ciudad Jardín, Cañón de las Rosas, El Jibarito, Francisco Villa, Hidalgo, Jardines de la Misión, Lázaro Cárdenas, Loma Bonita, Lomas del Porvenir, Miramar, Salvatierra, and San Ángel.
The Armando Valenzuela district includes Azteca, Buenos Aires Norte, Capistrano, Cerro Colorado I, Cerro Colorado II, Cañón de la Raza I, El Pípila, Estadio, Hacienda del Colorado, Héroes de la Independencia, Horóscopo, Las Américas, Mariano Matamoros Centro, Mariano Matamoros Norte, Mariano Matamoros Sur, Presidentes, Tierra y Libertad, and Vista Bugambilias.
The Reforma district includes Barcelona, Ejido Lázaro Cárdenas, Genaro Vázquez, La Gloria, Lagunitas, Natura Residencial (Sección Amanecer), Parcela 77, San Agustín, and Tecolote.
Neighborhoods affected in Playas de Rosarito
In Playas de Rosarito, intermittent service and lack of water are being reported in Rosarito, Constitución, Lucio Blanco, Santa Fe, and Villa Residencial Santa Fe 5.
Affected areas have also been reported in the Florido district, including Cerro de las Abejas, Parajes del Valle, Sevilla Residencial, and Villa del Campo.
CESPT stated that it will continue monitoring its facilities to restore the operation of the equipment once electricity supply conditions allow it to do so.
