San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chis; May 8.- This Wednesday the suspension of electricity service continued, but in the rural and urban areas of the municipalities of San Cristóbal de las Casas and Zinacantán, which affected thousands of users in homes, restaurants, supermarkets and others.
In the rural area, the communities La Raza, Las Palmas, Huitepec, Revolución Mexicana, Kaqueta, El Ocotal, Apas, Ajtetic Alto, Shulvo, El Piga, Patosil, Fátima neighborhood, Alcanfores, San Antonio and others in San Cristóbal de las Casas and Zinacantan.
The suspension of the service occurred from 10:00 a.m., but it was planned that the service would resume at 4:00 p.m. in both municipalities.
On Tuesday night, thousands of users in Tuxtla Gutiérrez were left without electricity service in the western northern area, which affected supermarkets, restaurants, shopping malls, homes, among others.
In the case of the municipalities of San Cristóbal de las Casas and Zinacantán, the parastatal announced in advance the suspension of the electricity service, as part of the maintenance work on the network, to “provide you with better service.”
