CDMX Key 2024: What is it, how does it work and what procedures can I do?

Have you heard about the CDMX Key? Well, if you still don’t know anything about it, here at EXA FM we tell you what it is and how it works.

The Government of Mexico City (CDMX) created a digital tool that will help you carry out procedures in a very simple way and in turn, the CDMX Key Account will serve to authenticate the identity of citizens.

What is the CDMX Key Account?

The CDMX Key Account is an innovative technological tool designed to authenticate the digital identity of citizens. This will allow people to carry out procedures and access services digitally, managed by both the Public Administration and the Mayors of Mexico City.

How to generate the CDMX Key Account?

To obtain the CDMX Key Account, you must enter the official website and fill out the form, then:

Access the official CDMX Key page.
Click on ‘Create account’.
Enter your Unique Public Registry Code (CURP).
Complete the ‘I’m not a robot’ verification process.
Provide your personal information: full name, date of birth, gender and address.
Click ‘Next’.
Enter a valid and active email address.
Create a password and accept the terms and conditions.
You will receive confirmation of the procedure and your CDMX Key Account will be sent to the email provided.
This procedure ensures that you can manage your services and benefits in Mexico City efficiently.

What procedures can I do with the CDMX Key?

Once you have your CDMX Key Account, you will be able to carry out the following procedures:

Process certified copies of birth certificates
Digital complaints
Generate proof of non-criminal records
Enter the Vehicle Control digital window
Process Photocivics
Payment of the renewal of the Circulation Card
Check electronic statuses of Infractions
Renewal of type A driver’s license
This new digital tool will be very useful and will save you quite a few lines in the procedures.
