As of June 30, the Campeche Delegation of Well-being Programs has completed the delivery of 52 percent of the “chips” from the Connectivity for “Bienestar” Program of CFE Internet promoted by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
According to information provided by the Social Communication Unit of the Bienestar Programs Delegation in the State of Campeche, so far they have delivered 3,201 chips that will provide connectivity to communities with the highest levels of marginalization.
This represents 52 percent of the total “chips” to be delivered throughout the state, as the federal authorities have set a goal of distributing a total of 6,102 SIM cards across the 13 municipalities of the state.
They confirmed that they will continue delivering the chips from the Connectivity for Well-being Program of CFE Internet to the beneficiaries of federal social programs, prioritizing citizens residing in low-income communities.
They announced that the municipalities where these items have already been delivered are: Campeche, Hopelchén, Calkiní, Dzitbalché, Calakmul, Carmen, Champotón, Seybaplaya, Escárcega, Candelaria, and Tenabo. The final breakdown by municipalities will be announced as requests are submitted.
They emphasized that all those interested in obtaining a SIM card should go to their nearest Integrator Center, where they must present and meet the basic requirements such as having a compatible cell phone, valid identification, Unique Population Registry Code (CURP), and proof of address.
Among the benefits of the Connectivity for Bienestar of CFE Internet is that it will be free for one year, providing 5 GB for browsing, 1,500 minutes of calls, and 500 text messages for citizens’ use.
Recently, the state delegate of Bienestar programs, José Cardozo, confirmed that they were in the community of Bolochén de Rejón, in the Municipality of Hopelchén, where they delivered more than 300 cell phone chips to the beneficiaries of this federal program.
