Mayor José Luis Urióstegui thanked the families and visitors who attended the more than 31 events, enjoying the presentation of more than 50 artists, in more than 9 venues.
With great success and the esplanade of Palacio de Cortés that houses the Regional Museum of the Peoples of Morelos full of attendees, the Third Cuernavaca Summer Culture Festival 2024 ended this Sunday, organized by the Cuernavaca City Council, through the Institute of Culture of the Secretariat of Human Development and Social Participation, an event that for the first time brought to the city an impressive drone show that illuminated the sky with the history of the Morelos capital for the enjoyment of families and visitors from other states.
The activities that began early on Sunday at the Cuernavaca City Museum (MuCiC) with the presentation of the Benning Academy Guitar and String Ensemble and the piano recital by Fernando Saint Martín offered a bohemian morning for the enjoyment of the public that gathered at this art and culture venue par excellence in the municipality.
Later the party continued, but now on the esplanade of the Regional Museum of the Peoples of Morelos (Palacio de Cortés) where the fusion of rhythms made young people and adults dance to the rhythm of «La Hoja Ensamble», «Los Parranderos de San Pancho», to the rhythm of ska with «Out of Control Army», the dance with the «Chinelos Mágicos de Tlayacapan», «La María Cantú» and at all times the presence of the «Zanqueros SanseAcabó».
The municipal president José Luis Urióstegui Salgado accompanied by his wife Luz María Zagal Guzmán, president of the DIF Cuernavaca, enjoyed this great presentation thanking the attendees, neighbors of Cuernavaca, from other municipalities and visitors from other states, who thanks to their presence were able to fulfill the purposes of these activities, rescuing the public spaces of the city, allowing families and people to enjoy the squares, parks and all those places abandoned for many years.
Under the coordination of Laura Hernández Cruz, Secretary of Human Development and Social Participation, of the team of the Municipal Culture Institute in charge of Juan Contreras de Oteyza, this year the Third Cuernavaca Summer Culture Festival 2024, incorporated a novel technological show such as a light show with drones based on the history of the founding of Cuernavaca in a unique way, accompanied by a mind-blowing pyrotechnic show afterwards, which allowed to close in a special way a whole week of activities that took place in 11 different venues throughout the municipality.
In all the places included in the program of this Festival, it was possible to transmit to the attending families, girls, boys, young people and adults of different ages the sense of belonging to the spaces that were the scene of free traditional artistic, cultural, sports and dance performances that the City Council supports so that they prevail among the communities.
Some of the artistic disciplines that made up the Third Cuernavaca Summer Culture Festival 2024 were theater, dance, literature, music (rock, ska, jazz, fusion of rhythms, cumbia and traditional music), a night of museums, the tour of legends, the drone and fireworks show, with the participation of local artists, from other states of the Republic and countries.
