Relatives of tourist drugged in Cancun hotel suspect Mexican hospital was trying to “traffic her or extract her organs”

Familiares de turista drogada en hotel de Cancún sospechan que hospital mexicano intentaba “traficar con ella o extraerle los órganos”

Two college students from Oklahoma, Zara Hull and Kaylie Pitzer, had a traumatic experience during their vacation in Cancun, Mexico, when they were drugged at a pool bar at the resort where they were staying.

The incident, which occurred on August 2, has left the families of both young women deeply concerned and with serious accusations against the hospital authorities in Mexico.

What happened at the Cancun resort?

This is how they recounted their experience
Pitzer and Hull were enjoying their vacation with a group of friends in Cancun when they decided to order water at the hotel’s pool bar.

What should have been a moment of rest and fun quickly turned into a nightmare.

According to reports, both young women suddenly collapsed after consuming the drinks.

A terrifying image captured the moment the two students lay with their heads resting on the bar, holding hands before being wheeled to their rooms.

Hull, 20, began convulsing due to what American doctors suspected was synthetic fentanyl.

She was rushed to a private hospital in Cancun, where her condition quickly worsened.

Hull’s boyfriend, Jake Snider, accompanied her to the hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU), where he witnessed the critical condition his partner was in.

“She was so sedated that she couldn’t open her eyes or speak,” Snider’s mother said, describing the terrifying experience.

Relatives suspect the hospital had intentions to traffic the young woman

The difficulties for the relatives did not end there.

According to The New York Post, the Cancun hospital denied Snider the right to stay with Hull and he was forced to pay $200 pesos for a room on the second floor, which was completely unoccupied.

My son was not allowed to stay with her. We had to pay $200 for him to have a room upstairs for the night. It was the second floor of the hospital and the floor was completely EMPTY. The room was just a hospital room,” Stephanie Snider, Jake’s mother, wrote in a Facebook post.

Snider revealed that her son was too scared to sleep because he was afraid something might happen to her.

He was not able to go back inside to see Zara until the next morning. “We stayed in 2 different countries, praying all night for her safety and health,” she said.

When Jake Snider went down to check on Hull at 8 a.m. on August 3, he said his son found Hull on a ventilator, with a catheter and under the influence of heavy sedatives.

Hospital staff said they were supposedly taking Hull somewhere else for an MRI, which the family speculated was a cover for human trafficking or even harvesting her organs.

(Jake) He told them to STOP EVERYTHING, that he was going to get her out of there. We told them, ‘Don’t let them take her, don’t let them do anything else to her! We were working to get them out of there!’” Stephanie Snider added in her post, reflecting the family’s desperation.

They would have been victims of medical extortion
The hospital demanded an initial deposit of $10,000 pesos before starting any treatment and then demanded another $25,000 to continue medical care.

Faced with this situation, the families of Hull and Snider attempted to transfer Hull to a hospital in Dallas, Texas, but faced obstacles due to the lack of cooperation from the Mexican hospital in handing over Hull’s medical records.

Thirty hours after the incident, a family friend managed to secure a private plane for $28,000 pesos to medically transport Hull and Snider to Texas, where she was eventually hospitalized.

During this process, Jake Snider managed to obtain a partial list of the medications that had been administered to Hull.

The experience has left a deep mark on the lives of the students and their families.

Zara and Kaylie have horrible feelings about what we told them happened to them, and yet they have no recollection of the ordeal, but are tortured by the fact that it happened to them,” Stephanie Snider concluded.

She also noted that both she and the girls’ parents still can’t “close their eyes” because of the chilling memories of the incident, while Jake “will never forget the hell he went through to get Zara and him out of there alive.”

Zara was released from the hospital, but will require treatment
Although Zara Hull was released from the hospital on Friday, the family anticipates more medical expenses due to the treatment.

A GoFundMe campaign has been created to help cover these costs.

The seizures Hull suffered were, according to doctors, a reaction by her body to the drugs she was given.
