Several events are planned for the rest of the year in southern Tamaulipas. The entire 2024 calendar includes 16 conferences.
“We are very positive; we must continue working with the new authorities, collaborate and work together for the benefit of the entire city,” said the president of the Hotel Association in southern Tamaulipas, Alberto Ortega.
He added that “we just had one of the most important events at a national level, the Mexican Petroleum Congress, where the results for both the organizers and the southern area were very good, especially in the sense of demonstrating that we have the capacity to carry out this type of events that cover the hotel requirements and the spaces necessary to carry out the logistics.”
He anticipated that the panorama is opening up for people who are dedicated to the organization of events to consider Tampico as a venue to host more large-scale congresses.
The area offers a series of characteristics that make it different
The representative of the sector said that this region has a series of characteristics different from other venues that complement what it offers as a destination: beach, history, architecture, gastronomy, culture and nature.
He highlighted that in the south there are sporting, artistic and business events, from the procession of the Virgin of Carmen to fishing tournaments, among others.
