Following the disappearance of seven people who were kidnapped on November 23, family members and friends of the victims marched in the city of San Cristóbal de Las Casas, in Chiapas, demanding that the state authorities return them alive.

On the date indicated, the seven people were kidnapped by a group of men in the municipality of Emiliano Zapata and to this day their whereabouts are unknown.

The demonstration took place on the Guadalupano walkway, until reaching the Cathedral Plaza of San Cristóbal de las Casas, where they demanded that the authorities carry out an exhaustive investigation to find them.

“Luis García Hidalgo, Rosario del Carmen Chulín Hernández and Emmanuel García Chulín are their names and I will not rest until I find them!” shouted Kenia Chulín along with friends and family at the beginning of the march to demand the search for her parents and her younger brother.

Kenia’s family left their home on November 23, with the idea of supporting a friend, who said she had a broken down car after going on a field trip, accompanied by four other people. However, the seven people did not return to San Cristóbal de Las Casas, where they are from.

This version was confirmed to EFE by Ana Martínez, Magdalena del Carmen’s sister, who said that she previously spoke with her sister on the phone and told her that she had planned to go out “to see a truck that her father had left there because her father had a property in that municipality” in Emiliano Zapata.
