The governor emphasized that the influencer’s visit would have a favorable impact on the local economy and tourism in the region, as well as highlighting the donations made by MrBeast to construct a water well for a community that lacked this resource. She expressed gratitude for the international exposure generated by MrBeast’s visit, which has positioned Campeche on the global stage.
Sansores also highlighted the significant interest sparked in the cultural and historical richness of the area, stating that some may not understand it but she values it and is grateful that fate brought MrBeast to these lands. The controversy surrounding MrBeast’s visit also raised an alleged lawsuit filed by the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) against the influencer, accusing him of violating the terms stipulated in the permit granted. However, Sansores supported MrBeast’s statement that his production involved archaeologists and government officials to ensure that the recordings were made in accordance with established standards.
