In a matter of minutes, a crowd carried out one of the fastest acts of robbery in central Tamaulipas, emptying the container of a trailer transporting beer that overturned today at kilometer 32 of the Ciudad Victoria-Monterrey highway.
Preliminary reports of the accident indicate that the truck driver allegedly dozed off at the wheel, causing the heavy vehicle to overturn.
Although the driver was unharmed, the container remained on the side of the road, and within minutes, a crowd of people arrived to begin looting the merchandise.
Men and women removed cartons of beer, but authorities were unable to prevent the robbery.
