On the morning of Tuesday, June 3, 2025, the effects continue in various parts of Mexico City (CDMX) due to the torrential rains that affected much of the capital last night.

Members of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) are continuing to rescue vehicles trapped by floodwaters at the intersection of the Miguel Alemán Viaduct and Francisco del Paso y Troncoso Avenue.

As published by Excélsior, Riverside Police teams and traffic personnel are participating in the operation, using ropes, boats, and a specialized UNIMOG vehicle to free the stranded vehicles.

Images of the car rescue at the Viaduct and Francisco del Paso y Troncoso Avenues are circulating on social media.

The SSC published a video showing members of its units participating in the operation and maneuvers to free the vehicles that were submerged in the water.

Meanwhile, the Metro Collective Transportation System reported that work continues to fully restore service on Line A, the Pantitlán–La Paz line, which was interrupted by floodwaters entering the tracks.

The most severe damage is reported between the Pantitlán and Agrícola Oriental stations, as well as between Santa Marta and Los Reyes, where the water reached a depth of more than two meters.

Metro personnel have been working since last night and into the early morning to remove accumulated water.

While service is being restored, Metro Passenger Transportation Network (RTP) units are providing free support between Pantitlán and Santa Marta, in both directions.

In an informational card, the Metro urged users to make travel arrangements and stay informed through official channels about the resumption of operations.
