One of the largest dairy producers in the region, Campeche boasts professional management and a high-quality genetic breeding and multiplication program.

The company, which offers efficiency, sustainability, and productivity, as well as low costs and the potential to also generate natural capital income, is being offered for sale as a turnkey model, with a management team and staff on staff.

This is a potentially suitable business for a dairy farmer, agricultural company, or family farmer looking to expand or diversify their profitable production in a country seeking to support and increase its domestic production of milk and agricultural products. The farm has growth potential, driven by current investment and support for the sector from the Mexican government and the demand for milk.

Campeche’s economy is dominated by offshore oil and gas, but there is a strong shift toward diversification and food security. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has stated that milk, rice, and sugar should become a priority at the national and state levels.

Recognizing the country’s overdependence on milk imports, the government has launched a plan to invest in new dairy processing facilities, commit to guaranteed prices, and improve distribution.

As a result, real incentives are being offered to Mexican dairy farmers, with guaranteed price plans, subsidies, preferential credit lines, production-friendly policies, and the construction of a new pasteurization plant.

Charles Whitaker, managing partner of Brown & Co., stated: “This is a great opportunity for a young, entrepreneurial dairy farmer or family dairy farmer to invest in a company with a much smaller capital base than the traditional developed dairy markets of Europe, the UK, the US, and New Zealand to build a substantial business in the dairy sector and/or high genetic value breeding.”

TGT is a sustainable agricultural company founded in 2002 by Australian Steve Holt, dedicated to the genetic improvement of AFS (Australian Friesian Sahiwal) dairy cattle and Boer goats, based on holistic management programs and continuous process improvement.

The company manages and holds the title to 1,562 hectares (3,858 acres), including two adjoining ranches: Coyote Flaco and San Antonio Cayal.

The farm is divided into 120 fields, securely fenced with permanent water and internal road access, and legally secured under registered land titles.

Located in a location with a favorable climate and abundant groundwater supplies, the land use consists of 350 hectares of improved pastures and crops and 1,200 hectares of regenerative agroforestry, which varies in condition across the property.

TGT manages 671 head of cattle and 274 head of Boer goats, although the company has potential for significant production expansion.

This includes:

Productivity – with a milking parlor capable of milking 300 cows, the farm currently achieves an average raw milk price of USD 0.60 per liter, higher than the Campeche average.

Flexible production, which includes crop cultivation as well as the breeding of AFS cattle and Boer goats of high genetic merit.

Sound ESG practices, including high animal welfare standards, low environmental impact, forest conservation through agroforestry systems, sustainable water harvesting and storage, and future potential to generate natural capital income.

Campeche is located on the Yucatán Peninsula, in the southeastern region of the country, bordering the state of Quintana Roo to the east and the state of Yucatán to the north. It is ranked as one of the safest states in Mexico.

The farm, which features extensive livestock handling facilities, a main residence/farmhouse, and staff quarters, is an hour’s drive from the state capital, also known as Campeche (a five-hour drive from Cancún International Airport). Campeche is a tropical region with a rainy season from May to November, and the farm receives 940 mm of rainfall annually.
