The Government of the State of Colima, through the Colima Sports Institute (Incode), in coordination with the National Commission for Physical Culture and Sports (Conade), and the federal Physical Activation Program, invites you to the first “Ponte Pila” 3- and 5-kilometer race, open to men and women, to be held on Sunday, September 28th in this capital city, starting at 7:00 a.m., with the start and finish at the “José María Morelos y Pavón” sports complex.
The general director of the Colima Sports Institute (Incode), Alejandro Rodríguez Alvarado, said that this physical and sports event is part of several activities that will be held throughout the remainder of this year as part of the national “Ponte Pila” program promoted by Conade (National Council of Sports), which Colima joined with the goal of promoting physical and sports activity among the citizens of Colima, as mandated by Governor Indira Vizcaíno Silva: to encourage the population to move to promote peace and contribute to a healthy society.
Registration is free, and all Colima residents are welcome to participate by pre-registering at the starting point on the Morelos sports complex track at 6:00 a.m. There will be surprise raffles and lots of fun at the end of the race. For more information, please contact WhatsApp at 314-102-7584.
The 3k race route returns to the Morelos unit track, heading south on Camino Real Avenue, turning onto Gonzalo de Sandoval Avenue until reaching Armería Street in the Oriental neighborhood, then turning left onto Universidad Avenue until reaching the finish line.
The 5k race will follow the same initial circuit as the 3k route to Universidad Avenue, then continue north on Camino Real Avenue to the Ciapacov offices and back to the track at the sports facility.
