Due to high waves and rip currents, red flags are flying on at least seven beaches in Puerto Vallarta. This is to prevent risks to swimmers, according to information provided by the Civil Protection and Fire Department. These beaches are De Oro, Holly, Camarones, Burros Los Muertos, Conchas Chinas, and Palmares, which are restricted for recreational use. Yellow flags are flying on the remaining beaches, solely as a precautionary measure, and swimmers are advised to exercise extreme caution. It is worth noting that recreational use of Puerto Vallarta’s beaches has been restricted in recent days due to the high waves and rip currents that have persisted in the bay.
